Highpoint
520-Acre Development
Grapevine, Texas
Highpoint is a master-planned, 520-acre develompent in Grapevine, near the north entrance to the Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport. The property was developed by Terra in a joint venture with Browning Property Company and Triland Development for commercial, residential hotel and light industrial uses.
These uses formed a transitional pattern from high-quality garden apartment communities at the south, following the natural topography north to commercial sites adjacent to Highway 121.
Terra waged a determined campaign in its rezoning effort to achieve a residential use for the area of the beautiful escarpment along Denton Creek while preserving a valuable natural greenbelt. Extensive reclamation, filling and regrading enhanced the quality of other parts of the property and made them suitable for development.
